Photography has been a part of my life since my early teenage years. I was born in the Rocky Mountains and raised in the south of England. For me, it’s always been a way to share both sides of my life - English and American.
Every summer I would travel back to Colorado to see family and would document my trip with many disposable cameras. When I finally got my first proper camera, a 35mm, I was able to focus more on refining my stories with higher quality images. By forming this connection between the two worlds I was able to share my summer life, that was so different from any my friends and family had back home in the UK. It was important to me to be able to share with them this history and culture that was deeply rooted in me that they never got to see.
This is why today the purpose of my work is to tell a story, form a connection and inspire.
